SAPD began during the 2000/01 school year from a recommendation of the University of Arizona Professional Preparation Board (PPB). Participants include educators involved in providing professional development throughout Pima County.

The group was established to promote collaborative partnerships and provide opportunities for ongoing communication between the University and the schools. Specifically, the overarching goal is to plan and implement professional development opportunities for educators in Pima County in order to best utilize resources.

On the third Thursday of each month from 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.

What's happening at the University of Arizona?

The Professional Preparation Board (PPB) is a collaborative between the University of Arizona, Pima Community College, and southern Arizona schools and school districts. The PPB represents an unprecedented commitment on the part of these organizations in the preparation and support of teachers.
